Student employees that come with a support group and financing
The Supported Employment
Program Our
students make for eager and hard-working employees. The Laboure Special
Education Programs support group, which is funded by grants, trains and
guides both students and workers.
Together with the support
of employers, we help our students achieve the satisfaction of
employment while enabling them to give back to their community through their own
labors. We are committed to our students and their work.
Would you
consider joining the team?
The program guides you
and the student employee at every step of the way to ensure that your experience
as an employer is as seamless as possible. We will make sure that our
students are ready to handle their tasks.
The program also provides the following services to its
student employees and employers:
- Job development and job matching
- On-going supervision and training of student employees on the
job site
- Extensive job coaching to match the needs of employers and
employees
- Travel training
- Intervention necessitated by the employer and
employee
- Clear and consistent communications between employers and job
coordinators
- Training for new responsibilities
- Additional employees, if necessary
